Engine Porting

Engine porting is a great way to increase power in naturally aspirated as well as turbocharged rotary engines. By increasing flow and timing, you increase potential power. Usually the larger the intake port, the more power but less street drivable the engine will be.

Mild Street Port

Port is shaped towards the upper area of the port. Increased flow and top end while maintaining stock like driving characteristics.

Extended Street Port

Port is extended even more than a mild port. Loss of low end power is sacrificed for more top end. Idle becomes more rough, but still street drivable.

Bridge Port

An additional slot is cut between the stock port location and the coolant seal, with the area in between for corner seal to slide over. Power is shifted even higher in the rpm band than an extended port. Idle becomes noticeably rough.

Porting will be done on intake and exhaust ports. Housings must be dropped off or shipped to SMG Racing. Return shipping will not be included, and shipping costs would have to be arranged.
